Egypt Air Air Lines was founded in 1955 as a joint stock company. It holds licence No. 6, Category A, from Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. The company operates its tourism business under the Karnak brand, serving as the tourism arm of EgyptAir. Karnak offers inbound tourism programs in Egypt for visitors from abroad, as well as outbound tours under its Touch The World packages, Hajj and Umrah programs, flight ticket issuing, and ground transportation. It also organizes meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE), medical tourism, honeymoon packages, and corporate travel. The company's destinations include Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, along with Zanzibar and other international destinations under its outbound program. It also runs a 24-hour transit assistance office at Cairo International Airport. Egypt Air Air Lines has 11 branches across Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, Aswan, Qena, Red Sea, Sharqia and South Sinai governorates. It is registered on Egypt's Umrah portal and operates Umrah programs.
