Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how 4Safar collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you browse the platform, create an account, send a booking or contact request, or interact with our services. Please read it carefully so you understand your choices and rights.

The short version
- We collect only the data we need to run the platform and route your Umrah or Hajj request to the right licensed travel company.
- We do not collect or store payment card details — payment is arranged directly with the travel company.
- We use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to understand usage and measure our advertising.
- We never sell your personal data, and you can ask us to access, correct, or delete it at any time.
1. Who we are
4Safar ("4Safar", "we", "us", or "our") is a digital platform operated by a licensed Egyptian tourism company. The platform lets travelers compare and request Umrah and Hajj packages, hotels, and related travel services from licensed travel companies in Egypt.
For the purposes of applicable data protection law — including Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020) — 4Safar acts as the controller of the personal data described in this policy. This policy covers 4safar.com and its subdomains (including our blog and vendor portal).
2. Data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data, depending on how you use 4Safar:
- Account data: your name, email address, phone number, and password (passwords are stored in encrypted/hashed form, never in plain text).
- Booking and request data: the package, hotel, or trip you are interested in, your travel dates, the number of travelers, room or program preferences, and any notes you add to your request.
- Contact data: the name, email, phone number, and message you send through the contact form or when you reach us on WhatsApp.
- Reviews and ratings: the content, rating, and display name you choose to publish about a travel company or service.
- Loyalty and rewards data: activity related to the 4Safar rewards program if you take part in it.
- Technical and usage data: your IP address, device and browser type, language preference, pages viewed, referring page, and how you interact with the platform — collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
- Notification data: a push-notification token, only if you choose to enable browser notifications.
3. Payments and what we do not collect
4Safar is a comparison and request platform. When you send a booking request, our team reviews it and contacts you — usually within 12 hours — to confirm details. We do not take card payments on the platform and we do not collect or store your credit/debit card numbers, CVV, or bank details.
Any payment for a package is arranged directly between you and the licensed travel company that fulfills your trip, under that company's own terms and payment methods.
4. How we use your data
We use your personal data to:
- Operate the platform and create and manage your account.
- Receive your booking or contact request and route it to the relevant licensed travel company so it can prepare an offer or complete your booking.
- Contact you about your request, booking, or questions, and provide customer support.
- Publish the reviews and ratings you choose to submit.
- Send you notifications and updates you have opted into (such as booking updates or offers).
- Measure, improve, secure, and personalize the platform, and analyze how it is used.
- Comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations, and protect against fraud and misuse.
5. Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on one or more of the following legal bases: your consent (for example, for notifications and certain cookies); the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering a contract (handling and routing your booking request); our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the platform; and compliance with legal obligations.
6. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the platform working, remember your preferences, and understand how it is used. These include:
- Essential cookies: required for core functions, such as remembering your language choice and keeping you signed in.
- Analytics: Google Analytics (Google LLC) helps us understand traffic and how visitors use the platform.
- Product analytics and session insights: Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) helps us see how pages perform and may record anonymized interactions such as clicks and scrolling to improve usability.
- Advertising measurement: the Meta (Facebook) Pixel helps us measure the performance of our campaigns and reach relevant audiences.
You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the platform work. Analytics and advertising tools only load on the live 4safar.com site.
7. How we share your data
We share personal data only where needed, and never sell it. We may share it with:
- Licensed travel companies: when you send a booking or trip request, we share the details needed for the relevant company to prepare your offer and arrange your trip.
- Service providers: trusted partners who help us run the platform, such as hosting, analytics, messaging (including WhatsApp), and notification providers, acting on our instructions.
- Authorities and legal requests: where we are required to do so by law, regulation, or a valid legal request, or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.
- Business transfers: if our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, or reorganization, data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
8. International transfers
Because Umrah and Hajj take place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, some of your data — such as booking and traveler details — may be shared with travel companies and partners in Saudi Arabia in order to arrange and deliver your trip. Where data is transferred across borders, we take appropriate steps to keep it protected in line with this policy and applicable law.
9. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services and respond to your requests. We may keep some data for longer where required to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and ask for a copy.
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your data, where there is no legal reason for us to keep it.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
- Lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
11. How we protect your data
We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption of traffic in transit (HTTPS), hashing of passwords, and access controls that limit who can reach your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and respond quickly to any issue.
12. Children's privacy
4Safar is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children without the involvement of a parent or guardian. Where a minor travels as part of a trip, their details are provided by the guardian who makes the booking. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us so we can remove it.
13. Third-party links and services
The platform may contain links to travel companies, social media, and other third-party websites. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service you use.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will provide a clearer notice. Your continued use of 4Safar after an update means you accept the revised policy.
