According to the company, Egyptian Nile Tours started in 2001 as an Egyptian joint-stock company. The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities registry gives the founding date as 2004. The company says it has served more than 250,000 Umrah and Hajj pilgrims, ranked first among religious-tourism companies in the ministry's 2013 classification, and is a member of IATA and ASTA. The company says it offers Umrah programs at several levels, from five-star hotels near the Haram to an economy level, with hotels such as Fairmont and Mövenpick Hajar in Makkah. It also offers women-only Umrah groups (its 'Safe Company' programme). Its Hajj programs have several levels, including land Hajj, and it added the Haramain high-speed train to its programs. The company states that it has religious and administrative supervisors in Makkah and Madinah. Besides Hajj and Umrah, the company says it works in inbound tourism to Egypt, outbound and domestic tours, hotel booking, flight tickets on many airlines, and transport. Its call centre, 19740, is open from 10 am to 8 pm, Saturday to Thursday. According to the company, customers can book by phone from all governorates.
